Chris
The dormitory room at Wakawaka Hostel was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a budget traveler like me. I really liked the shared balcony, where I could relax and enjoy the lovely views of Arusha. The big lockers provided ample space to store my belongings securely. The tile/marble floor added a touch of elegance to the room. Having a wardrobe in the room was great since I could easily organize my clothes and keep them wrinkle-free.
Personally, I found the patio in certain rooms a bit unnecessary, but I can see how others might enjoy it.

Only downside was occasional noise disturbances from other guests.

David and Victoria are the most amazing and caring hosts! They go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The volunteers living there are fun and friendly. The breakfast cooked by Victoria is delicious and the dinner for volunteers is a treat. The private room with a double bed and bathroom was a pleasant surprise. The property has a beautiful view of Mt Meru from the balcony. The staff, especially Freddy, are very helpful. The place is clean and the WiFi works well in the common area. They also help with organizing further travel plans. Truly an outstanding experience!

Title: Delightful Stay, Just Needed a Taller Bed. I indulged in a scrumptious breakfast, played some fancy billiards, and basked in the beautiful garden and terrace of this charming hostel. The proximity to attractions was a splendid bonus. They even charged me for the airport shuttle, how kind!
Who knew they had a height limit for beds? My feet dangled off the ground like an elegant swan.

My stay at Wakawaka in Arusha was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the manager Maddie and owner David were incredibly friendly and helpful. They even went out of their way to drive us to exchange money and buy groceries from the supermarket. The property itself was beautiful, with a relaxing atmosphere and spacious, lovely rooms. We never had to wait for the shared bathroom, and the daily cleaning service ensured that everything was clean and tidy. The location was perfect, near the center of town, and the staff spoke excellent English, making communication easy. They arranged a safari and a full-day tour for us, and even made sure we had breakfast before heading out. The entire staff treated us like family, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience!
It was all superb! 👌

He even drove me around and gave me great recommendations for restaurants and bars in the area. The breakfast each morning was delicious, with tea, coffee, fruit, and made-to-order eggs. My room was spacious and the balcony was a nice place to relax. The atmosphere was wonderful, with friendly guests who loved to socialize. The location was convenient, just a 10-minute walk from the city center. I highly recommend this hostel for a friendly, clean, and comfortable stay in Arusha!
